Steps to Regathering

Let me begin by saying how grateful I am to write this letter.  This letter contains what I believe to be good news.  The information here provides direction as it relates to our re-gathering.  We will begin our re-gathering June 14, 2020.

In an attempt to be safe and cooperative, the guidelines listed below align with guidelines set in place by our state..  We can all be gratified we have done our best as good citizens who have personally attempted to “flatten the curve.”

As we begin our time of re-gathering, there are some things that you need to know.  Some of the things you see listed go against our nature as human beings.

Please prayerfully consider the all the following points:

1. We will offer 2 corporate worship services.  The first will be at 9:30.  The second service will be at 11:00 and will follow the same format at the first. If you are a senior adult or immune compromised you may want to consider the online service.  You will definitely be missed, but our goal is to make sure everyone is safe and healthy.  PLEASE NOTE: The 11:00 am sermon will also be available live stream via the church Facebook page.

2. You must register your intent to attend.  Each service will be limited to 100 attendees.  You can register by calling the church office, filling out the form on the church Facebook page, or through the Remind Me app.  This will assist the church to know how many attendees to expect.  Once these 2 services have reached capacity of attendees, a third service will be added.

3. There will be no Children’s Church and no nursery provided and all families will be required to sit together.

4. The pews will be marked to implement social distancing.  Please do not remove any markers or sit in areas not designated.  Be mindful of others by practicing social distancing.

5. You are being asked to NOT register if you have a cough, fever, shortness of breath, sneezing, runny nose, chest congestion, or cold/flu symptoms.

6. Facial coverings are not required but are encouraged.

7. Be prepared to see some things done differently. Example: There will be no passing of the offering plates, no time of fellowship, and no handing out bulletins.

8. Access to the facility will be limited.  You are being asked to enter through the main entrance door.  All other doors will be locked.  Even if you have a key, please come through the main entrance.  The only bathrooms that will be available are the ones closest to the Worship Center.

9. Upon entrance ALL attendees will be required to use hand sanitizer.  This will be made available to you at the main entrance.

10.  Once the service has concluded, please exit the facility promptly.  This will give the sanitizing crew time to ensure the facility will be safe and healthy for the next service.

These are just a few steps to us getting back together.  It will not be perfect and that is understood.  However, we are truly looking forward to worshipping together soon.

Serving Him,

Josh Phillips
